The influence of Sadriddin Ayni on the revival of the Tajik people and in the establishment of their state

After the Russian Communist Government occupied Central Asia, including Bukhara city in 1924, some natives, mostly educated in Turkey, had established a group by the name of "Turkish lovers" (Pan-Turkism). Deeply involved in their perceived Turkish national identity, they denied the existence of other people-the Tajiks. Subsequent to their unjust propaganda against the Tajik people, the Pan-Turkism members acted with injustice and aggression towards Tajik groups- preventing them from speaking their mother tongue and engaging with Tajik literature. Some of the Tajik people stood up against the Pan-Turkism group to defend their rights.
In 1924, the Russian Communist Government took complete control of the Central Asia region; intending to divide the region into separate republics. Despite the opposition from the supporters of the now Uzbek-Lovers (formerly Pan-Turkism), the Russian Communist Government authorized the establishment of the Autonomous Republic of Tajikistan under the Republic of Uzbekistan on 14 October, 1924.
Abdulqader Mohiddinev, the first Head of the Autonomic Republic of Tajikistan, approached Sadriddin Ayni- a great historical researcher and poet- to compile a research piece which would scientifically prove, with definitive and historical evidence, the existence of the Tajik people and their literary and scientific culture in Central Asia.
For this purpose, Sadruddin Ayni wrote his book "The examples of the Tajik Literature". Reinforced by literature he collected from various two hundred and twelve Tajik poets and writers, his book is considered as evidence of the existence of the Tajik nation in Central Asia. Sadriddin Ayni succeeded in proving the Tajik people’s historical origin, thus ensuring that their existence could never be denied. Thus the Tajikistan Soviet Republic was created on 5 December 1929.
During his lifetime, Sadriddin Ayni empowered the Tajik people to deal with various personalities under the shade of human brotherhood by recognizing their human rights.
